主讲人简介：
Dilin Liu is Professor and Coordinator of the Applied Linguistics/TESOL program in the English Department at theUniversityofAlabama. He received his Ph.D. in English fromOklahomaStateUniversity. His research focuses on grammar and vocabulary and the learning/teaching of grammar and vocabulary, using mainly corpus-, cognitive-, and socio-linguistic approaches. He has published extensively, including four books and numerous journal articles in many different international journals, such asApplied Linguistics, Cognitive Linguistics,Modern Language Journal, Studies in Second Language Acquisition,International Journal of Applied Linguistics, International Journal of Corpus Linguistics, Journal of English Linguistics, ELT Journal, English for Specific Purposes, Foreign Language Annals, International Journal of Intercultural Relations,TESOL Quarterly, TESOL Journal,andResearch in the Teaching of English.His two recent books are:Describing and explaining grammar and Vocabulary: Key theories and Effective Practices(Routledge 2013) andIdioms: Description, Comprehension, Acquisition, and Pedagogy(Routledge 2008).He has also been a member of the Editorial Advisory Boards ofThe ELT Journal(2001-2004), TESOL Quarterly(2005-2008), Reflections on English Language Teaching(2006-2012), andTESOL Journal(since 2009) as well as a reviewer for over a dozen linguistic and applied linguistic journals. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Board/curriculum consultant for the Walt Disney’s “Disney English” language teaching program. He also served as the chair of the Applied Linguistics Interest Section of the International TESOL Association (1995-96, 2011-2012) and the President of Oklahoma TESOL Association (1995-1996).
